Spooky Shuffle - To Dust or not To Dust?

October 28, 2018 | Faq

Introduced in Halloween 2014, Spooky Shuffle minigame is now anticipated in every Mousehunt Halloween event.

But starting from Halloween 2018, it can be dusted using Spooky Shuffle Dust.

You can get the dust from:

1. Completing "Capture Admiral Arrrgh of the Ghostship Armada" adventure (once)

2. The Premium Shoppe @ US$1.00 (Come on! Support this game, will ya?!)

3. The Marketplace @4m right now

4. Trading 50 Spooky Shuffle Ticket in any General Store.

What is the difference?

First things first, the major difference is the dusted version multiplies almost all rewards by 10.

The other difference is dusted board gives rewards not available in normal board.

Below is the rewards list comparison between the two boards:

Note 1: The bold ones always appear as the reward

Note 2: 5 of the non-bold rewards are randomly picked from a range of rewards that are tied to your Hunter's Title.

Note 3: Clearing this minigame board rewards you SUPER|brie+ x10 or x100, depending on the board type.

Note 4: You can NOT switch from normal to dusted board and vice versa. You can switch once you finish your current board.

Should you apply dust to the board?

This is the million SUPER|brie+ question.

Most people (including me) answer Yes to this.

Here are the reasons:

My personal reason: to save time.

- Better rewards such as Artillery Strike Launch Box, Galleon Gouda, Taunting Charm and event portals.

However, one might argue not to use the dust. Here is why:

Each dust gets you 150 SUPER|brie+ (@16k = 2,400,000 goldgold)

and other 5 random loots with around half of them are not marketable.

Thus if you want gold, then sell the Spooky Shuffle Dust to the marketplace, currently @ 4,000,000 goldgold

But if you want the overall value, then it is better to dust it.

If you are unsure what to do, you can hold on to see how the marketplace price goes.

If the price of the dust goes down, you can just play the Spooky Shuffle,

maybe even after the Halloween event has ended, just like last year.

So now that you know the difference, to dust or not to dust? I leave that up to your wisdom
