An interesting strategy used to protect the vast hoards of loot in the Sky Palace is to employ the talented thieves that successfully break in. They get to keep all the treasure but it can't leave the vaults... and neither can they!

With all the treasure they could ever want, these mice are content to just stay and frolic in their good fortune but will not hesitate to stand in the way of anyone who attempts to intervene in their indulgence!

This once hungry and determined guardian of the Sky Palace has become complacent over the years due to the lack of worthy challengers ever since the Sky Palace was cut off from the lands below. Once a shining example of physical prowess, this mouse's focus has gone from glutes to glamour, from strength training to bodybuilding, and from sword fighting to sword polishing. Now that the hunters of Gnawnia have found a way to reach the Empyrean Sky Palace, this mouse will be facing an even tougher challenge than maintaining those luscious golden locks.

Not too keen on travel and wary of extreme heights, these specialized defenders guard clearings and other obvious landing sites on the islands. They stand ready to smash the anchors of invading airships or pound in grounding spikes to keep those that have already landed from escaping.

Make way for the bikers of the sky! Gyrologers ride together in tight formations and sometimes act as escorts for friendly dirigibles travelling between islands. Most of the time, they just like to cruise in groups and make sure you share the skies. You'll be able to easily recognize them from a distance due to their excessively loud vehicles and their compulsive need to rev them.

They say he possesses the strength of ten mice! Herc is the hero with a heart of gold who always fights for the little guy! He fends off invaders of the islands by leaping onto their airship in a single bound and chopping down the mast with one swift swing of his mighty battleaxe. His motives are so noble and pure that some have referred to him as the hero the Floating Island mice need but not the one they deserve.

A happy-go-lucky kite flyer that races along the launch pad chasing dirigibles and flying her kite alongside them. Hunters consider it lucky if one happens to hit their airship with a kite during take off!

These fierce and highly-disciplined guards are the progeny of the Paragon of Dragons. Their training begins at birth as they are immediately entered into a grueling daily regimen to teach them a mastery of aerial combat. Only the strongest survive into adulthood, at which point they are granted acceptance into the esteemed Lancer Guard. The sole purpose of this elite, deadly, and highly-secretive military regiment is to prevent unworthy adversaries from challenging the Paragon of Dragons.

These stocky, tireless workers are well-versed in the daily hustle of Launchpad life. They can typically be found scurrying around the skydocks, hauling supplies, and performing odd jobs. Whether you're loading cargo, repairing your dirigible, or you just need someone to listen to your aerial woes, Launchpad Labourers will be there!

This mouse is a zealous advocate for bending the law as far as it can go without breaking. He spends countless hours scanning case files, text books, citation guides, and treatises to make sure his fellow "law abiding" citizens can maintain a clean slate while "salvaging" ships and "liberating" loot.

A Mairitime pilot with an emphasis on the "air". Sky Pirates swoop down upon their seafaring cousins when they need elite pilots for their airships. Without the restrictions of water, these seasoned sailors can manoeuvre a dirigible through the clouds with unmatched elegance. Unfortunately, many of these old seadogs tend to suffer from severe airsickness during their first few voyages.
