Treasure Hunt FAQ
What is Treasure Hunt?
The Treasure Hunt is an adventure feature that allows players to get special treasures by means of combining clues.
What is the minimum requirement to do a Treasure Hunt?
Treasure Hunt can be started immediately after getting the Book of Wisdom.
How can I start a Treasure Hunt theme?
To start a treasure hunt, talk to any Barkeep in any port, click the “Begin Hunt” button and select the theme you want to start.
You can get the list of the themes you can start in the book.
Each theme has 1 to 3 treasures to obtain.
How can I get clues?
Firstly, the official terminology for this is Relic Clues.
You can get clues from doing various activities in game, such as follows:
- Reading any book in archive
- Buying or selling trading goods
- Buying a drink or food in any tavern
- Getting a discovery
- Doing Collection
or Procurement
- Item obtained by pet via Pet Collection
- etc.
What is the best way to collect clues?
The best way to collect Relic Clues is to start reading in any archive as Priest job with Oxford skill Priest Wisdom to avoid any headache.
How do we upgrade Clues?
How do we assemble Clues?
Clues can be upgraded by using the “Assemble Clues” feature available in any Barkeep in any town.
Only 2 type of clues can be assembled per go.
While there might be various guide on the net for this, here is a simple formula as starter: (where r = the clue star number)
- 2n + 1(n-1) = Upgrade clue
example: 2 x r3 clue + 1 r2 clue - 1n + 3(n-1) = Upgrade clue
example: 1 x r3 clue + 3 r2 clue - 1n + 5(n-2) = Upgrade clue
example: 1 x r3 clue + 5 r2 clue
How do we get Treasure from a theme?
The treasure can be obtained from the highest rank clue(s) of a theme.
Each theme has different highest clue rank ranging from r13 to r20.
Some high-level rank clues has a feature to “Use Clue” to get a quest, a button available to click by opening the Treasure Hunt details in the Book of Wisdom.
Only the highest rank clue gives the quest to get the treasure of the theme. The rest of the clues have quests that can be obtained from an Adventure Mediator in different location.
You can check the quest from a clue without losing anything.
Why can’t I start a quest from Clue?
To accept the quest from Relic Clue, you need to have the skills. Aide and skill item booster can be used.
For language skill, any language item can be used, such as Translation Note, Book or World Languages Reader.
Only one Relic Clue quest can be taken in a day.
The Relic Clue quest can only be accepted while in a city. Dock is excluded.
You can check the quest from a clue without losing anything.
I have the quest, but how do I get the treasure from it?
The treasure quest mentions the location as well as the landmark of where the treasure is located.
All you need to do is go to that location and touch that landmark.
Note that you need to have the necessary skills and rank (as listed in the quest description) which can also be leeched from fleet.
