Unlike common icicles, which hang from eaves troughs and mind their own business, the razor-sharp ice spears controlled by the Icicle mouse fly through the air in a swarm, waiting like a raised dagger for hunters to come along and set out their cheese. Once the trap is set, the Icicle mouse drops a barrage of icy spears on trap and hunter, slicing their clothing, sending the cheese flying, and, worst of all, running down the hunter's shirt. Brrr!

Without any real powers to play with, the Monarch Mouse decided to improvise in order to fit in with its transformed comrades. It pilfered materials from nearby hunters, acquired wings from a butterfly using methods better left un-described, and transformed itself into the self-proclaimed ruler of the insects. So far, its attempts to herd beetles have proved unsuccessful, but the padding on its costume does absorb the impact from some traps.

As in most areas where extreme weather is an issue, some mice embrace the snow, and some... prepare for snowpocalypse. The Over-prepared mouse is convinced that soon, the world will be covered in mountains of wintery death, and so it covered itself in layers of warm clothing. Because it is nothing if not thorough, it has also got an enviable arsenal of trap-busting tools stashed away in that suit, when it can find them among all the layers.

When Penguin mice decided to get up a spiffy costume and imitate their favorite winter bird, they didn't count on a few of the limitations inherent in their disguise. They were looking forward to sliding down icy slopes, using only their tummies as a sled, and swimming through icy water. Unfortunately, rubberized canvas and cotton batting don't take to these activities as readily as one would hope, resulting in many a sliced-up suit.

Do not underestimate this mouse by its portly appearance and purple-flower-deelybopper headband. This mouse... is a Master of the art of puddle manipulation. All it needs is a small pool of last night's muddy rainwater to wreak dewy destruction on all who oppose it, hurling drops of water at traps with such great speed that it can slap the cheese right off of the trap base. The flowers are just for camouflage. Yes, camouflage...

There are three distinct steps to pumpkin carving: draw the face, scoop the seeds, then carve. The Pumpkin Head mice, in a fit of eagerness to fit in with their transformed brethren, got a little confused during this process. Since they stuck their heads into the pumpkin before carving began, they were in no hurry to go under the knife, even if it meant a slight loss of visibility.

While the Scarecrow Mouse's seasonal transformation may not summon lightning or turn its foes to ice, it presents just as much of a threat to the unprepared Hunter. The Scarecrow's most valuable talent is its ability to be squashed and torn without losing much of its original vitality, meaning that very few traps have much effect on it. The best way to get rid of a Scarecrow is to scatter its stuffing-- once its straw is all gone, it will be too floppy to carry on.

Clad in churning billows of cloud, the Spring Familiar brings a concentrated electrical storm with it wherever it goes. When this mouse enters the area, take cover- it may look serene, but the lightning bolts shooting out of its skirt will fry any trap mechanism in its path. Like a slow-moving thunderhead, the Spring Familiar is never in a hurry. It knows that it can take its time pilfering and eating cheese, because hunters fear its shocking defenses.

Smelly candles and fly paper won't save you this time! Stinger mice are on the loose, ready to swarm your cheese. Even with their multiple appendages filled with stolen dairy products, Stinger Mice can attack using their needle tails and acidic saliva, which dissolve cheese, clothing, and many other materials on contact. As far as hunting is concerned, a fly swatter may be the more appropriate weapon, but a mouse trap will do in a pinch.

The Summer season on Zugzwang's island is already scorching hot, but the presence of the Summer Mage mouse makes the heat unbearable. Immune to the effects of too much sun, it hurls balls of concentrated summer sunlight at hunters and traps alike. Just one touch of the Summer Mage's sunlight is enough to cause a painful, blistering sunburn, so if you're prone to burns, be sure to take plenty of zinc and aloe with you while hunting.
