Aegean Sea
An elongated embayment of the Mediterranean Sea, located between the Greek and Anatolian peninsulas. It has many islands. The sea was traditionally known as one of the most flourishing areas from ancient times, and as the birthplace of Aegean civilization which is the oldest civilization in ancient Greek.
