African Wildcat
Being native to North Africa and the Arabian Peninsula, they inhabit a broad variety of landscapes ranging from deserts to savannas, shrublands, and grasslands. They are believed to be the ancestor of domestic cats after having been domesticated by the ancient Egyptians.
