Biblia Pauperum
A block-book illustrating the events that appear in the Bible. When it was established in southeast Germany and Austria during the mid-13th century, it spread throughout Europe together with the popularity of letter press printing. It was produced based on the pretype theory which was mainstream for churches at the time.
