Cape Ground Squirrel
A member of the squirrel family that inhabits the arid region of Southern Africa. It lives in a burrow underground. Unlike squirrels that live in trees, it doesn't store food, but spends most of the day eating. If it senses danger, it alerts its fellow squirrels with a bird-like call.
