Manatee
A large, sea dwelling creature that never ventures ashore like seals. It's a slow swimmer and does not appear to be particularly wary of anything around it, probably because it lives on seaweed and swims in waters with few predators. It has been mistaken for a mermaid when it comes to the surface to give milk to its young, and even a monstrous Siren.
