Picture of a Bird Man
On Rapa Nui, there are believers of Tangata Manu, the bird man that is the metamorphosis of a god called Makemake. It is said that the birdman has extremely strong spiritual powers and those that receive the honour to be called a birdman are given total control over the island for one year.
