Portrait of a Man in a Turban
A piece by Jan van Eyck. Opinions differ, but it is thought that this was drawn by Eyck himself. He improved upon the drawing techniques used until then, and made it possible to draw fine parts as evinced by this drawing. He was successful in expressing deep, varied forms of light and darkness.
