The Arnolfini Wedding
Painted by Jan van Eyck. Thought to be a painting certifying the marriage of a banker and his wife. The painting includes many religious symbols and certainly conveys prayers for a happy married life. Starting with the convex mirror in the middle and the chandelier, the brushwork is almost impossibly detailed.
