The Bronze Statue of Poseidon
A bronze statue of Poseidon, said to have stood in Athens in the past. Its intricate details perfectly depict the instant of throwing his spear. The big toe of his left foot, which he is using for balance, is slightly raised, and the heal of his right foot which is set back is raised. It seems as if he could spring to life at any moment.
