The Divine Comedy
An epic poem by the Italian poet, Dante Alighieri. It is comprised of three parts, Hell, Purgatory, and Paradise. The main character is Dante himself who journeys through hell and purgatory, finally arriving in heaven. It is regarded as a masterpiece of classical Italian literature.
