Washikuku Ceremonial Pottery
Pottery used in rituals in the Washikuku region. No liquids were ever put in them. It was an object of worship similar to an idol. The same face is painted on the front, back, and both sides. Its round pupils and somewhat smiling mouth are designs not often seen in Europe.
