Wooden Sculpture of Perun
Perun is the highest god of the Slavic pantheon. His name means "the one who strikes down" in old Slavic, and is the god of thunder and storms. In myth, he smote down opposing gods with lightning bolts, and thus was worshipped by warriors as a god of victorious wars.
